A company we’re psyched about: Terracycle
Terracycle, founded by Tom Szaky, collects all sorts of unrecyclables and turns them into items such as school supplies and gardening tools – useful items that now retail at stores like Home Depot and Target. The concept is not only fabulous, it’s also very trendy as more companies strive to foster “Green Business” practices in their day-to-day operations. Tom’s idea came from his previous venture of manufacturing fertilizer made from worm poop – and needed uncrushed bottles for packaging.
Did we mention you can get paid for collecting trash and sending it in to the company? Indeed – join the 9 million plus people known as “citizen collectors” who are already pitching in to collect trash, and they receive 2 cents for each chip bag or juice pouch plus shipping.
Did you ever think you could transform garbage into gold?
