Some helpful tips for running a successful sale:
Remember to always keep a close eye on your items for sale. Although we would all love to think we live in an ethical world today, the sad part is things do happen. We recommend to always invite a few friends to help out with your sale, or combine your sale with another family on the same street. An extra set of hands and eyes can help and you can give your friends first dibbs on anything they see and would like to have.
You won’t always know the history of an item you buy at a sale. You may not always get a straight or honest answer on an item you’re really interested in. Trust your gut, or bring a friend for support, that usually helps with the decision making process.
Keep your pricing fair and consistent. Make sure you do your homework before putting certain items out for sale. It’s a bummer when you found out you sold somthing that was worth way more than what you got for it. The treasure hunters won’t tell you that though!
Re-gifting? It may not be the best idea to sell unwanted gifts at a tag sale, try using the internet were for the most part you can remain ananymous when selling an item. It probably wouldn’t look good if you were selling your friendly neighbor’s holiday gifts to you at your spring tag sale. You don’t want hard feelings coming out if they decide to visit your sale and recognized their gifts up for sale.
