If you’ve ever drove down Route 7 in New Milford, CT on a Sunday morning you would have probably noticed an open field with an eclectic assortment of tents and tarps waving in the breeze where neat isles lined with shoppers and collectors stroll.
The Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market isn’t a huge place. You could probably tour all the vendors and get a fair amount of exercise on the flat paths within three hours. Everyone is friendly and there’s usually some interesting “stuff” available, everything from the typical knock-off sunglasses to antiques, collectibles and vintage toys.
Parking can be a little challenging if you don’t get there before 8am, but other than that, it’s worth the trip, even if you don’t buy anything.
