In life we’re often faced with forks in the road. “Easy Street” is a paved way, enabling the people who choose this road to put their life on cruise control. Easy Street is a relatively painless, mostly happy route and comes with a regular job and a simple life.
Then there’s the “Dirt Road, ” a rough and less traveled way. It attracts a certain breed of individual. You need to be passionate about pursuing your dreams and be capable of breaking through or navigating around roadblocks. You need to be able to give and take criticism well. You need to lead not just yourself, but others as well. When the road gets a little rough, you persevere. You pave the way as you go, and you learn and grow as you go.
For whatever reason you choose this road, there’s surely one thing in common among these travelers: Along the way they earn freedom, fame, or fortune, and if you’re smart, work hard and don’t give up, you can earn all three. Sometimes at the end of this road, the road you paved, a legacy stands. You leave a paved road and stand among icons, pioneers and entrepreneurs, all remembered forever. The path they choose is the path they paved for the “Easy Street” followers.
Be a leader. Make a difference. Choose the road less traveled and pave your own way to success. Become an entrepreneur.
