A clip from Dear Diary in the New York Times:
Many people decide to put papers on utility poles advertising a company or a lost animal. In October, my cousin and I were walking to the Astoria Boulevard train station, when one of those papers caught our attention.
On the corner of 24th Street and 24th Avenue, someone had put up a flier saying “Hot Sex” in big, bold letters as a heading.
When we read the rest of the paper, we realized that it was about a yard sale.
A person like me would think that it’s hard to get people’s attention with a flier on a utility pole, but I guess it’s not true.
