After reading a couple blogs earlier this week on what other people think makes a yard sale successful, I came across an interesting advertising concept that I never thought of or had seen before.
A woman described taking a cardboard box and cutting it to shape a triangle. On each of the 3 sides, she posted colorful construction paper and pasted her garage sale details, complete with an arrow pointing drivers and people passing by in the direction of her sale. Once she placed them on her street corner, she also put a large rock inside so they wouldn’t blow away. Finally she explained that the advertisement signs were collapsable and reusable – an awesome idea!
So we wanted to thank whoever it was who came up with such a unique and genius idea and of course share our findings with our readers!
