If you’re like most college students, your dorm room is probably packed with posters, street signs, neon lights, unique beer glasses and much more. So what do you do with all of it if you don’t pass it down to your friends before you graduate?
Many campuses need to bring in extra dumpsters just to manage the volume of “stuff” that is left behind or tossed before the end of the spring semester, or after four years of accumulation. But what you may not realize is, “one person’s trash is another’s treasure.” Most of the furniture is typically smelly, stained or otherwise trashed, but there’s lots of other things you can consider selling before you move on to the real world.
Dumpster diving on college campuses has been very popular for many years now as people know they can score some pretty sweet freebies on unique items they might not find anywhere else. Even the Ivy League schools toss some pretty good stuff, and you might get lucky and find some usable furniture, books or other random items.
So before you graduate this year or move out of your dorm room, try selling a few items online, you will be surprised what people will buy. I used to make all my beer and fun money by selling other people’s “junk” on ebay or half.com.
We want to see what you’ve got and what your making money on! Send us your pictures and we’ll feature them here on our blog!
