The weather was delightful this past Sunday morning in Manhattan so it was a perfect opportunity to get outdoors and check out a flea market on West 76th Street and Columbus Avenue located on the Upper West Side that I’ve been meaning to visit. GreenFlea has been operating adjacent to PS 44 for more than 26 years and is among the first open air markets in NYC.
It combines both antique and vintage collectibles along with new handcrafted items. I found to to be an ideal place to look for something different to give or to keep. You’ll find wonderful things at reasonable prices — most of them not available anywhere else. Some of the handcrafters at the market will also offer custom-made merchandise, from jewelry to furniture to clothing. The vendors take pride in helping shoppers find just what they’re looking for.
It was a great day so I recommend next time you’re looking for a unique shopping experience in Manhattan, bring the family — there is something for everyone!
